WHAT THEY SAY

David C. - 6/9/17

Very nice place across from the Convention Center. Excellent Mexican food, diverse menu, moderate prices. Margaritas were very good. We went back for appetizers the next day.

Lisa S. - 6/8/17

Great place to good Mexican food and of course their Flaming Margaritas!! The usually have a mariachi band on busy nights. Can be crowded, but cozy if you can get a booth.

Jennie M. - 5/26/17

Went here tonight. Had the best time. Good prices and the atmosphere is very chill and fun  :)

COMMUNITY CONNECTION

Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services Independent Living Program (ILP) resident, Troy S., was offered an internship at El Compadre DTLA after mangers learned he had an interest in the culinary arts. Troy has been serving as an apprentice for Chefs Javier & Gonzalo who have been instrumental in teaching him preparation, cooking and presentation of food.  Chef Javier said, "Troy is a very hard worker, a quick learner, and has become family."

El Compadre managers Andy Rodriguez and Tessa Barragan have made a commitment to helping at-risk teens and believe that regardless the circumstances, everyone deserves an equal opportunity to pursue their dreams.

As a testimony to his hard work, Troy was recently given a conditional job offer by El Compadre management!

Thank you, El Compadre, for giving our youth a chance and for helping them realize their dreams.
