Young lady bartending was amazing. LA auto show was on and she was in the last 30 of a long shift and still managed to fill my beer up before it emptied every time whilst making constant flaming margaritas for the packed house. Vibe was cool, drinks were cheap. Chips n salsa was free. Happy times

The food was good. The complimentary chips and salsa were great! My waiter, Eleazar, provided very fast and courteous service, even sitting me at a table near an electrical outlet, so I could charge my phone! It's a little pricey, but it's LA across from the Staples Center and the Convention Center, so it's to be expected. I would go there again.

I was at the Los Angeles convention center cross the street for a three-day confence. The restaurant was super noisy! We all had to yell at each other. I came here for lunch and happy hour. The happy hour is Mon-Fri 4-7pm. All draft beer is $5, such a good deal! Also all appetizers is $2 off. The guacamole and chips here were so good! The tortilla Chips are made fresh! Also, I ordered a crabmeat and a shrimp enchilada. The shrimp one was kinda blend, but the crabmeat was a bomb! It's my first time having enchiladas with crabmeat and it's so good! I came back again the next day just to have that.

Great Mexican food. Close to the convention center and delicious options for on the go. Only thing was the first time we went service was speedy; second time not so much due to server just seemed unknowledgeable and overwhelmed. But great food. I enjoyed their enchiladas and soft tacos a la carte! Great options for inexpensive.

We came here for a quick bite before the clippers game. El Compadre is very conveniently located across the street from the Staple Center. The restaurant was full but not full enough for slow service. We started with the margaritas on the rocks, very tasty! The decor is very eclectic, nice Spanish/Mexican touch. We didn't have much time to scarf our food down before the game started so we both ordered the cheese enchiladas that come with rice and beans. Overall we had a great experience dining here, (less the slow service) the enchiladas were tasty and the ingredients were fresh!

Excellent food ... chips are obviously made there and are very fresh (and too easy to fill up on before food comes). Tortilla soup was delicious, as were the enchiladas de mole. Service can be slow and a bit confused (they forgot part of our order, but didn't charge us for it either). Definitely worth trying if you're not in a big hurry.

This is my favorite Mexican food in Los Angeles. Definitely the BEST chips and salsa in LA if you like a little kick. The fried burrito is to die for and they have potato tacos which are my favorite but hard to find. Great happy hour deals and now that football season is starting, they'll open their doors early for the games. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this gem.

So good!! Relaxed atmosphere. The food is amazing and drinks too! If you like margaritas then you have to check this place out! They add a little something special to the presentation with a lemon peel that set on fire before you drink it!
